Playful Bear Cubs Turn Rocky Outcrop Into Their Secret Slide
In the heart of the forest, where the towering trees stretch their limbs towards the sky, a unique playground emerged in the wild. It wasn’t the kind of playground humans would recognize, but through the curious eyes of a group of inventive bear cubs, it was a place of endless adventure.
Meet Ash and Riley, two inseparable bear brothers, and their playful friend Billie. These spirited cubs found their home at The Kilham Bear Center in the pristine woods of New Hampshire, a sanctuary for orphaned bear cubs. Here, their lives took an unexpected turn when they stumbled upon a magnificent rock face that, to their delight, served as an exhilarating slide.
The discovery of this natural slide brought boundless joy to Ash, Riley, and Billie, but it wasn’t always smooth sailing, or rather, sliding. Riley quickly learned that Ash had a tendency to dive headfirst down the rock without much warning, leaving him in fits of laughter and surprise.
The Kilham Bear Center provides a safe haven for these cubs and 24 others, all of whom found themselves abandoned by their mother due to human disturbances in their den. With the loving care and supervision provided by the center, these resilient cubs are given a second chance at life, a life filled with playful adventures and the promise of a future in the wild.
“They are affectionate, fun-loving, and intelligent beings who like to create all sorts of hijinks,” a representative from The Kilham Bear Center shared. Their daily antics, like discovering this natural slide, remind us that even in the wild, where dangers and challenges abound, there is room for joy and creativity.
